Product Summary

Turbo-WBS is a chrome-free lignite derivative designed to provide improved filtration control and stabilize rheological properties in high-temperature water-based muds. Turbo-WBS was developed based on a new lignite-derived resin. It is compatible with most water-based drilling mud additives.

Wellbore Stability Benefits

  • Effective emulsifier in oil-in-water muds and will provide some emulsification and dispersing properties for liquid lubricants.

  • Can be used to stabilize salt-contaminated muds.

  • Particularly effective as a high-temperature filter loss additive in water-based mud systems.

  • Highly effective HTHP water loss reduction results in thin, tough, lubricated filter cake development.

  • Can be used to disperse hydrocarbon-based lubricants in water-based muds.

  • Decreases borehole erosion, washouts and key-seating tendencies.

  • Reduces BHA balling problems.
